Walter D. Hendricks

Hendricks, Walter D., age 92 of West Carrollton passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018 at his residence. He was born on July 23, 1925 in Elyria, Ohio the son of the late Edward & Mabel (Sukars) Hendricks. Mr. Hendricks honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of the 452nd Bombardment Group and 8th Air Force Historical Society. Walter was a former employee of the Cadillac Tank Plant; a Technical Writer for Aero Jet; McDonald Douglas Air Craft; NCR; Frigidaire; White Consolidated and the Moraine Truck & Bus plant until his retirement in 1993. Preceded in death by his wife Leona E. in 1993, son Donald E. Hendricks in 1977, and by his brother Howard V. Hendricks. He is survived by 2 sons Dean M. Hendricks and wife Linda, Douglas P. Hendricks and wife Cynthia, daughter Darlene Fannin and husband Terry, sister Louise Bliss, 5 grandchildren Daniel Hendricks & wife Brandy, Joseph Hendricks, Lynnsey Hawes & husband Cameron, Stephen Fannin & wife Emily, and Ashley L. Fannin, 6 great grandchildren Matthew & Mackenzie Fannin, Deacon Hendricks, Casey, Kayleb & Phoenix Hawes, as well as other family members and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018 at the SWART FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton with Rev. Jennifer Burns officiating. Burial Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
