Tootsie Maness, age 86 of Moraine, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 5, 1936, in Wise County, VA, the daughter of the late Riley & Marie (Caudill) Collinsworth.
Tootsie was an employee of Ponderosa Steak House for 10 years. She was devoted to her family and loved to play board games with her great grandchildren, and she also enjoyed watching her soap operas.
Preceded in death by her husband J.C. “Jay” Maness in 2014, her brother Jack Christian, 2 sisters-in-law Lucille Christian and Lola McDole.
She is survived by her 2 loving daughters Dottie Cowden and husband Larry, Vickie Smith and husband Kim, 2 sisters Sue Kilbourne and husband Bud & Judy Waller, her brother-in-law Wayne Maness and wife Nadine, 5 grandchildren Angela (Terry), Aimee (Todd), Shane (Melony), Nick (Julie), Staci (Justin), 14 great grandchildren Kierstyn, Addie, Dayson, Kaiden, Savanna, Brooklyn, Lucas, Josie, Hannah, Rylea, Derek, Calvin, Drew and Emily, 1 great great granddaughter Emmie, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Rev. Dr. Joel Getts officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park in Hamilton. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (1 hour prior to service) at the funeral home on Friday.
