Thomas C. “Tom” Entingh, age 65 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Kettering Health Network – Main Campus. He was born on June 10, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of the late Marion (McKenzie) Orr and Gerald Entingh.

Mr. Entingh was a chef for over 20 years at different restaurants in the area. He was an avid photographer and enjoyed submitting his photography work to different contests & sites. Tom was also a member of the Focus Photo Club for many years.

Preceded in death by his son Timothy Newkirk.

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Betty (Newkirk) Entingh, 2 children April Lee and husband Chris, Robert “Bobby” Leighly, 2 sisters Jean Wyant & Mary Thomas and husband Bob, 2 brothers Jerry Entingh and wife Patty, & John Entingh and wife Kelly, 6 grandchildren Stephen Strickland, Alicia Strickland, Nicholas Wilz, Elli Lee, Emma Lee & Errin Lee, a great grandson Weston Nichols, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relative and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2022, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Rev. Dr. Joel Getts officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (2 hours prior to service) on Friday at the funeral home.
