Terry W. McClain

Terry Wayne McClain, age 49 of Franklin, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 2, 2023, at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 22, 1973, in Middletown, Ohio.

Terry graduated from Carlisle High School in 1991. He went on to create his own business; Ultimate Lock & Security, prior to becoming ill in 2008. Terry was a part time Fireman for the Carlisle Fire Dept., and was also a fire investigator for the fire dept.

He was a kind and caring man, always willing to help his family and friends. He loved country music, enjoyed camping, and spending time with family and friends.

Terry has resided in the nursing home since 2011. He fought several illnesses and endured years of pain. He always fought so hard to overcome his illnesses and regain his health, but he finally lost his battle, his days of pain and suffering are over, and he is now at peace.

Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Charles & Ethel Myers, his paternal grandparents William & Vivian McClain, his brother Kenny McClain, his infant sister Kathy Lynn McClain, and by his sister-in-law Dawn McClain.

He is survived by his loving family; his father Gary McClain and wife Sharon, his mother Helen Rogers and husband Lonnie, his only daughter and his pride and joy, Lillian “Lilly” McClain, 2 brothers Gary McClain, Jr., and William McClain, 2 stepchildren Joey Moore & Sara Morris, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (1 hour prior to service) on Saturday at the funeral home.
