Sue Ann Messham, age 79 of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the Stoney Ridge Senior Living Center. She was born on July 29, 1946, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert & Lura (Smith) Engelauf.

Sue was a retired Nurse with Miami Valley Hospital and a home healthcare nurse with 45 years of dedicated service. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Ohio State.  She was a member of the Normandy United Methodist Church, Tri-Delta Sorority, TWIGS (Together Woman in Giving, PEO (Philanthropic Education Organization), Eastern Star in Dayton, Hannah’s Circle and the Jaycee’s. Sue enjoyed traveling to Siesta Key, Houseboat trips, Bridge Club, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family and friends.

Preceded in death by her 2 sons Matthew “Matt” Todd Messham on December 30, 2018, Robert B. “Brian” Messham on May 27, 2022, and her brother and sister-in-law Robert & Dot Engelauf.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Robert E. Messham, Jr., her daughter Christa Sue Messham-Faust and husband Rick, 6 grandchildren Luke Thomas, Alex Messham, Avery Banks (Messham), Jude Messham, Zoe Messham, and Noah Messham, as well as other family members and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, January 19, 2026, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Pastor Jeremiah Lewis officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (1 hour prior to service) at the funeral home on Monday.
