Shirley A. Wicker, age 87 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 19, 1937, in Franklin, Ohio, the daughter of the late Gloria “Goldie” (Little) Hilt and Milton Budd.

Shirley was a retired employee of Action Rubber & Plastics Co., with 20 years of service. She enjoyed thrifting with her great-granddaughter Emma, cooking and traveling with family and friends. Shirley also loved to work in her yard and flower beds and had won several “City of West Carrollton Beautification” awards over the years. Shirley had an amazing smile; she was a grandma to everyone, and she never met a stranger.

Preceded in death by her husband Melvin V. Wicker on October 2, 1991.

She is survived by her daughter Lee Ann Russell and husband Darin, her son Doug Wicker and wife Debbie, 6 grandchildren Jennifer Lemons and husband Noah, Nikki Baker, Angie Wicker, Justin Wicker, Amy Wicker and David Anderson, her bonus granddaughter Amanda Zennie and her children, 10 great grandchildren Riley Lemons, Luke Lemons and Emma Lemons, Damian Phillips, Tara Phillips, Franny Phillips, Nicholas Phillips, Caleb Wicker, Makayla Wiley and Lillian Wicker, numerous great great grandchildren including Harper & Autumn and a great great grandson on the way!, numerous nieces and nephews including her special niece and travel companion Barbara Quante and her children who Shirley loved as her own grandchildren, John, Mariam, Melody and Reva & their families, also survived by other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with her cousin Mr. Leo Music officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (2 hours prior to service) on Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton in memory of Shirley.
