Sandra May “Sandy” Huff, age 69 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 2, 2024, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 19, 1955, in Grundy, VA, the daughter of the late Blanche (Meadows) Hymer and Ralph Stiltner.

Sandy was a former Teacher’s Aide for the special needs children for the Northmont City School District, a bus driver for West Carrollton City School District and the Valley View School District in Germantown.

Preceded in death by her husband Dennis Huff on June 13, 2024, and by her brother Kenneth Stiltner.

She is survived by her loving family: son Jessy Huff and wife Carrie, her stepfather Lennith Hymer, her sister Lucinda “Cindy” (Stiltner) Maxson, 2 grandsons Josh Reed and Jacob Huff, her nephew Christoper Maxson and family, her niece Courtney (Maxson) Romstad and family, her second cousin Bradley Crussell, and special friends David Ingram and Marc & Sharon Jewett, as well as other family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Pastor Larry McIntosh officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (1 hour prior to service) on Saturday at the funeral home.

Out of town Graveside Services will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, at the J.T. Stiltner Family Cemetery (near Riverview Elementary School & Stiltner Creek) in Grundy, VA. Shortridge-Ramsey Funeral Home, 1021 6 & 20 Mile Branch Rd., Grundy, VA 24614, entrusted to the out-of-town services.
