Raymond Slaton

Raymond Slaton, age 77 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at Sycamore Hospital.He was born on May 15, 1942 in Franklin, Ohio the son of the late Lewis M. & Beulah (Hawthorne) Slaton.

Mr. Slaton was a retired Utility Maintenance employee with the City of West Carrollton with 29 years of service; Raymond enjoyed golfing and was an avid Tennessee Vols fan!!

Preceded in death by his 2 grandchildren Jenny Slaton & Robbie Evans, his sister Ruby Huffman and by his 2 brothers Roy & Bob Slaton.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Claretta S. (Durham) Slaton, 3 sons Todd Slaton and wife Heather, Bobby Slaton and wife Shannon, Michael Slaton, 2 daughters Tonya Johnston and husband John, Susan Collins and husband Jay, step-daughter Robin Callahan, his sister Ruth Ann Estepp, 22 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, his fur babies Cutie Pie, Olivia, Sugar & Tinkerbell, as well as numerous, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Due to the unfortunate circumstances of COVID-19. Private services will be held with Mr. Bob Estepp & Mr. Ben Slaton officiating. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to SICSA, 8172 Washington Church Road, Dayton, Ohio 45458 in Mr. Slaton’s memory.
