Ralph E. Yordy, age 71 of Union, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton. He was born on May 24, 1950 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Ralph & Mary E. (Scott) Yordy.
Mr. Yordy honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a former Tow Truck Driver for Andy’s Towing, and a former Cable Installer for Time Warner Cable.
Preceded in death by his 3 sisters Kathy Rickert, Nancy Scott & Pam Shrout, and his nephew Jason Rickert.
He is survived by his sister Sherry Clemons and husband Jim, his brother Karl “Tony” Scott and wife Wanda, 10 nieces & nephews Angie Yordy, Lisa Scott & Summer Hoskins, Teri Scott, Toni Stoltz and husband Jeff, Aaron Scott and wife Tasha, Jimmy Clemons and wife Dawn, Sue Zerba and husband Rick, Shawn Rickert, and Missie Rickert, numerous great nieces & nephew including: Elizabeth Samons, Kindra Dunn and husband Seth, Zera Scott and Jaden & Layla Hoskins, as well as numerous other family members and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Pastor Wayne Woody officiating. Burial Evergreen Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Mr. Yordy’s memory.
