Phyllis Z. Seals, age 102 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 09, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 21, 1923, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late George W. & Kittie (Erbaugh) Myers.

Preceded in death by her husband Charles Emerson Seals on October 18, 1981, her daughter Rebecca Elizabeth Seals, her daughter-in-law Faye Seals, her grandson Derek Kessnick, her siblings and brothers-in-laws & sister-in-law: Arthur Myers, Rienzi Myers, Calvin Myers and wife Virginia, Susan Handle and husband Charles, Agnes “Doll” Thatcher and husband Alfred, Grace Conover and husband Bernard, Kittie Grill and husband Edward.  

She is survived by her loving children Diana Lynn Apple and husband Larry &Timothy Allen Seals, her grandchildren Joshua Hopkins and wife Reagan, Mariah Davis, Joanna Kessnick, Keli Apple, and Heather Carey and husband Jonathan, numerous great grandchildren including Christopher Seals and wife Sophie, Cory Seals and wife Lauren, McKenzie Seals, Jameson Carey and Jensen Carey, several great great grandchildren including Faye Seals, as well as numerous other relatives.

A Graveside Service to Honor and Celebrate the Life of Phyllis will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the Dayton National Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Joel Getts officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton in memory of Mrs. Phyllis Z. Seals.
