Paula R. Penny, age 75 of New Lebanon, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family and beloved dogs “Monty”, “Millie” and “Maggie”. She was born on August 21, 1949, in Richmond, IN, the daughter of the late Virginia L. (Davis) Tiller and Donald W. Penny.

Paula was a Police & Fire Dispatcher for the City of West Carrollton with 18 years of service. She was employed by Cherry Hill and assumed the role of Mrs. Claus and the Easter Bunny for many years, which brought many smiles to the children’s faces. Paula was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Eldorado, and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in West Alexandria, and the American Legion Post #322, Auxiliary.

Preceded in death by her 3 brothers Michael Penny, Sr., Donald Godfrey and Ricky Penny.

She is survived by her 3 children Tamra Gengler, Michael Morris (Pam Walters) and Michelle Snyder and husband Tim, 4 grandchildren Amanda N. Gengler, Joseph P. Gengler (Grace Ison), Timothy Snyder, and Nicholas Snyder, 2 great granddaughters Harper & Scarlett Snyder, best friends Pat Harlow & Bev Frame, special neighbor Ed Fremder, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Pastor Scott Moler and Pastor David Spears officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (2 hours prior to service) on Saturday at the funeral home. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the Fairview Cemetery in West Alexandria.
