Patricia L. Smith

Patricia L. Smith, age 81 of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton surrounded by her family. She was born on April 18, 1938 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Hiram & Saraetta (Swartzel) Durham.

Mrs. Smith was a former employee of Woody’s Market; after leaving Woody’s she stayed at home to care for her 3 daughters and her grandchildren. She was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church in Dayton, and a member of the Miamisburg Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary.

Preceded in death by her husband Kermit L. Smith in 1973, an infant sister, 2 sons-in-law Eddie Pryor & Steven Martin, Sr., her companion Richard Gilbert, and by a brother-in-law Bob Stump.

She is survived by her 3 loving daughters Rebecca Isbell and husband Rick, Rhonda Martin, and Tina Pryor, her brother Keith Durham and wife Lotus, 3 sisters Barbara Rotterman and husband Joe, Nancy Stump, &  Claretta Slaton and husband Raymond, 12 grandchildren Stevie Martin, Jr., Mandy Zimmerman, Jeremy Martin, Angie Bryslan, Scottie Wages, Sean Martin, Rikki Isbell, Dena Rauch, Sarah Gilbert, Brian Wages, Tommy Isbell and Tara Pryor, 34 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2020 at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Pastor Kim Wetteland officiating. Burial will follow at the Hillgrove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (2 hours prior to service) at the funeral home on Monday.
