Michael K. "Kevin" Mahorney Obituary

Michael K. “Kevin” Mahorney, age 61 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2025, at his home. He was born on January 23, 1964, in Dayton, Ohio.


Kevin was an Animator for Movies and Video Games, some of his greatest accomplishments that he was most proud of was “Polar Express” and “The Adventures of Tin Tin”, his favorite games he created were “God of War 1 & 2”, “Infamous” and “Kill Zone”. Kevin enjoyed spending time with family and friends.


Preceded in death by his father Charles Mahorney, his sister Kelly Sue Mahorney, and by his brother-in-law Kenny Harville.


He is survived by his loving children: Michael E. “Evan” Mahorney & Kaitlyn Mahorney, his mother Mary P. (Whitman) Mahorney, his brother Donald T. “Tim” Mahorney and wife Pam, 3 sisters Tina Mahorney, Tammie Barnes, and Kathy Harville, the mother of his children Susan Grant, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.


The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton. A Graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the Calvary Cemetery in Dayton, with procession leaving the funeral home at 1:00 p.m.  


In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Swart Funeral Home in memory of Kevin to assist the family with funeral expenses.
