Michael R. Ward

Michael R. Ward,  age 67 of Moraine, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton surrounded by his family.

He was born on November 25, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Thurston & Laura Arlene (Mayberry) Ward.

Michael retired from General Motors-Truck & Bus with 27 years of service; working on the assembly line, as a trim specialist and also as a forklift operator. He enjoyed racing his truck and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Tina M. (Contie) Ward, his son A.J. Ward and wife Joie, his sister Glenda McManus, his 2 grandchildren Bronx Ward & Nixyn Ward, niece Heather McManus, mother-in-law & father-in-law Lillian & Frank Conti, brother-in-law Michael Contie and wife Theresa, sister-in-law Kathy Bernard and husband Michael, as well as numerous other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 11, 2022 at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Pastor Sherrill Sizemore officiating. Burial Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
