Mary Margaret Steele was born on December 18, 1937, in Hyden, Kentucky.  She was the daughter of the late Roy J. Sizemore and Minnie Hoskins.  She was united in marriage to Carlos Lee Steele who preceded her in death.  She is survived by a sister, Barbara Ann Bowman of London, Kentucky; nieces and nephews, Margaret Paige Mosgrove of Keavy, Kentucky; Greg Muncy of Corbin, Kentucky; Robin Sizemore, Missy Sizemore and Todd Sizemore all of Ohio.  She was also preceded in death by a brother, Warren J. Sizemore. 

Mary was a beautiful person inside & out. She was very passionate about her family and friends. She had a great love for all of her nieces, nephews and cousins.  They were all so important to her. She will be missed by many. 

Mary Margaret Steele departed this life on Friday, January 5, 2024, being 86 years and 18 days of age. 

The funeral service for Mary Steele will be conducted at 2 pm Saturday at Living Hope Church in London with Lyn Dotson officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery in Keavy. The family of Mary Steele will receive friends beginning at 1 pm Saturday until the funeral hour of 2 pm at Living Hope Church.
