Mary L. Root

Root, Mary L., age 94 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 01, 2020 at The Laurels of West Carrollton. She was born on June 6, 1925 in Ravenna, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Richard & Ida (Puckett) Crowe.

Mrs. Root owned and operated a Hair Salon in Dayton and Senior Care Living in Pueblo, CO; and she also was a foster parent for 10 years

Preceded in death by her husband Carl Root, her grandson Kelly Root, brother Bud Crowe, and by a sister Ruby Lee Hubright.

Mrs. Root is survived by her 2 sons George Husta & Carl Root, 6 grandchildren George, III, Erica, Joseph, Christina, April and George Michael, several nieces & nephews including Norma Jean Helwig and husband Daniel, Tim Humphrey and wife Karen Micka, Richard Humphrey and wife Debra, Dickie Crowe & Sonia Horton, as well as other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Pastor Wayne Woody officiating.
