Martha M. Hey

Martha M. Hey, age 79 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Sycamore Hospital. She was born on May 10, 1942 in Paragould, AR, the daughter of the late Joseph M. & Sue Frances (Holloway) Straub.

Mrs. Hey was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, and a member and Past-President of the Legion of Mary. Martha was also a former member of the Lioness Club in West Carrollton.

Preceded in death by her husband John Hey in 2001, her 4 brothers Joseph William Straub, Thomas Matthew Straub, David Scott Straub and Virgil Albert Straub.

She is survived by her 2 sons John Hey & wife Kendra Calanchini, and Kenneth Hey, her daughter Donna Payne and husband Joe, her 2 sisters Cathy Carter & Rose Brashers and husband Daniel, sister-in-law Ruth Jones-Hey, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, special friend Marge Houston, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 14, 2022 at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church with Father Jerome Bishop, Celebrant. Burial Miamisburg Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton.
