Marjorie J. Zechar, age 92 of Centerville, formerly of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 5, 2024, at the St. Leonard CHI Living Community, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born August 18, 1931, in Moraine, Ohio, the daughter of the late Marie Naylor and Lloyd Alexander. Mrs. Zechar attended the Kettering Assembly of God Church and was a volunteer at Cox Arboretum for many years.

Preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Zechar on November 14, 2009, her son Ron Zechar, her 2 brothers Lloyd Alexander and Richard Alexander, and by her 2 sisters Doris Bowman and Audrey Penrod.  

She is survived by her loving family; her daughter Beverly Whitefield, her son Kenny Zechar, daughter-in-law Sharon Zechar, 6 grandchildren Matthew Zechar, Jeremy Zechar and wife Lauren, Ashleigh Pettit and husband Will, Rachel Whitefield, Logan Zechar and wife Emily, and Casandra Zechar, 5 great grandchildren Jordan Whitefield, Lillian Lockwood, Christian Lockwood, London Whitefield, Bronson Thompson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2024, at the Highland Memorial Cemetery, 723 Upper Miamisburg Rd., Miamisburg, Ohio, with Pastor Paul Simpson officiating.
