Lora J. Wilson

Lora J. Wilson, age 85 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 6, 2023, at the Kettering Health Network – Main Campus. She was born on December 7, 1937 in Hartford, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Vodous (Ballard) Dalton and Dewey McClure.

Preceded in death by her husband Leonard Wilson, and by the father of her children David Wade, Sr., the mother who raised her Martha Schear, her brother Lonnie, and by 2 sisters Louise & Juanita.

She is survived by her loving children Danny J. Starnes and wife Audrey, David Wade, Jr., Lonnie Wade, and Julie Wade (Dave Hartzell), her brother Terry Schear and wife Margaret, her sister-in-law Connie Schear, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild on the way, special friends Margie White & Jill Friend, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lora learned to cook at a very early age. She enjoyed making meals and memories with all of her family and friends and always made sure there was plenty for everyone. Lora also loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family and friends. 

At Lora’s request there will be no services. Arrangements entrusted to the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association- https://action.lung.org or to the American Cancer Society – https://donate.cancer.org in Lora’s memory.
