Linda Smith, age 69, of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Kettering Health Network – Main Campus surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 19, 1954, in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ray. W. and Phyllis Jean (Teeters) Parker.

Mrs. Smith was a retired employee of WPAFB with 25 years of service. She was a member of the David’s United Church of Christ in Kettering.

Preceded in death by her daughter Samantha Smith on December 13, 2018, her brother Mike Parker and by her sister Jennifer Parker.

She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years Richard W. Smith, brother-in-law Doug Smith, sister-in-law Marcia Loomis, 4 nephews Chad Parker and wife December, Ben Parker and wife Erin, Michael John Parker and Brian Parker, her 4 “fur babies” Katie Bell, Brooklyn, Susie and Lacey, as well as other relatives and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at the Davids United Church of Christ, 170 West David Rd., Kettering, Ohio 45429 with Pastor Emily Phillips officiating. 

 In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA, P O Box 96929, Washington DC, 20090-6929 in memory of Mrs. Linda Smith.
