Karen Sue Doss

Karen Sue Doss, age 71of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Kettering Health Network – Miamisburg, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 2, 1951, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late William & Josephine (Van Winkle) Doss.

Karen was the Owner & Operator of Karen Sue’s Restaurant in Miamisburg from 1999 to 2005. She worked in the Call Center for Kettering Health Network with 15 years of service.

Preceded in death by her infant daughter Tracey Lynn Sherrill, her infant brother Wayne Keith Doss, and by 2 brothers Dale Doss and Steven Doss.

She is survived by her loving daughter Sheila Pearson and husband Robert, her sister Melody Hinton and husband Tim, 3 grandchildren Sydney Pearson (Ron Wills), Sierra Pearson (Cole Young) and Talon Pearson (Clara Blaine), 1 great grandson on the way Asher Michael Sue Young, 2 sisters-in-law Sonja Doss & Judy Doss, the father of her daughter and love of her life Edward Sherrill, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Rev. Dr. Joel Getts officiating. Burial Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (2 hours prior to service) on Saturday at the funeral home.
