Jay C. Marsh Obituary

Jay C. Marsh, age 80 of West Carrollton, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton. He was born on August 20, 1945, in Steubenville, Ohio, the son of the late Clarence and Mildred (Butler) Marsh.


Jay was a 1963 graduate of Steubenville High School. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army - G2 Intelligence and his occupation was an aerial recon photographer during the Vietnam Era.  Mr. Marsh was a former maintenance employee and monitor for Canterbury Court. Jay was a member of the Miamisburg Wesleyan Church; he was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan, he loved spending time with his fur baby “Charlee”, watching CNN News, listening to music and his very favorite foods were a double dip vanilla ice cream cone from Dairy Dream, and any kind of donut!


Preceded in death by 4 brothers Jack, Jim, Jerry, and Joel, and by 4 sisters Joselyn, Janice, Joyce and JoAnn.


He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Linda N. (Hall) Marsh, 3 sons Randy Jay Marsh and wife Mandy, Nick Wszeborowski and wife Olesya, Michael Wszeborowski and wife Peggy, daughter Leslee Terek and husband Dan, special nephew Mark “Tony” Tyree, sister Jannelle Brothers and husband Pete, 15 grandchildren: Marissa (Jerry) Nicholas, Robert (Heather) Terek, Chelsey Marsh, Courtney Marsh, Chloe Marsh, Richie Marsh, Nicholas (Marci) Wszeborowski,  Miranda (Brock) Cunningham, Savannah (David) Aguilar, Alex (Isbella) Wszeborowski, Micah Wszeborowski,  Luke Wszeborowski, Pheobe Wszeborowski,  Evan Wszeborowski and Samuel Wszeborowski,  8 great grandchildren, brothers-in-law Danny Hall and Mark Tyree, special friends Teresa Britton and Nanette Bell, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.


Jay’s life was a gift to all who knew him and his memory will live on through his family, friends and all who were touched by his kindness, faith and joy.


Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the Swart Funeral Home, 207 E. Central Ave., West Carrollton, Ohio with Pastor John Hannan and Pastor Nathanial Harris officiating. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Combined Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
