James Booth Obituary

James D. “Jim” Booth, age 80 of Moraine, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11, 2020 at his home. He was born on November 24, 1939 in Wayne, West Virginia the son of the late Percival (Percy) and Edith (Lockhart) Booth.

Mr. Booth was a former employee of Moraine Materials (Martin-Marietta) with 30 years of service and a member of the Operating Engineers Union.

Preceded in death by the love of his life of 59 years Dorothy “Dottie” Mae Booth on May 3, 2020, his brothers Clifford Lee, John Wesley, Jennings Floyd, Alvin Carl, Charles Bennett, and William Richard and by his sister Ethel Marie.

He is survived by his loving children Doug Booth and wife Sharon, Denise Griffin and husband Elden, his beloved sister Dora Ann (Earl) Clark, 3 grandchildren Michael Booth, Samantha Knapp & James Scott Knapp, brother-in-law Michael Ingram, 3 special nieces Susie Carr, Lynn Brown & Sally Ingram, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Due to the unfortunate circumstances of COVID-19. Private services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery with Pastor Wayne Woody officiating.
