Jacqueline “Jackie” Cartwright, age 96 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 17, 1929, in Miamisburg, Ohio, the daughter of the late Wilson & Helen (Brough) Wade.

Jackie was a 1947 graduate of Miamisburg High School. She retired as a Switchboard Operator and Cash Handler for Woody’s Market with over 40 years of service.  Jackie was also a former employee of Wendy’s Restaurant in West Carrollton with 8 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and collecting her coffee mugs.

Preceded in death by her husband Wesley “Pete” Cartwright on July 26, 1979, 2 sons Kent Carwright on December 23, 1960, Dean W. “Hoss” Cartwright on September 2, 2005, her 2 brothers-in-law Chas Maloney and Don Rose, and by her best friend Mary Prodan.

She is survived by her 5 loving children Tina Combs, Lynn Hatfield and husband Mike, Ann Pickrel and husband Deron,  Eric Cartwright, and Marie Davies, her 2 sisters Thelma Maloney and JoAnn Rose, 10 grandchildren Shane Combs, Alisha (Andrew) Caplinger, Jacob Hatfield, Jacqueline  (Chase) Pittenger, Jared Hatfield, Andy (Katie) Pickrel, Sarah (Luke) Pickrel, Justin Pickrel, Tyler (Ashley) Hataway, Alyssa (Jordan) Davies, 11 great grandchildren, 2 great great grand grandchildren, her protector and best friend “Harvey”, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton.
