Gregory E. “Greg” Blackburn, age 61 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 31, 1963, in West Carrollton, Ohio, the son of the late Gerald E. “Jerry” and Norma L. (Pope) Blackburn.

Greg was a former employee of Nuvasive in West Carrollton. He loved to play guitars and drums and loved to listen to all kinds of music including the Beatles. Preceded in death by his stepson Graham Joseph Gamble on March 21, 2023.

He is survived by his 2 sisters Connie Horner and husband Sam, and Caren Blackburn (Greg Chessman), his son Christopher Blackburn, his daughter Heather Lilly, his 4 grandsons A.J. Lilly, Landon Lilly, Greg Lilly, and Jerry Blackburn, Jerry’s mother Brittnee Shae Kiser, his 2 nephews Ryan Blackburn and fiancée Julie Derksen, and Dustin Horner and wife Crystal, 4 nieces Amie Minniear and husband David, Cindi Musgraves and husband Myles, Sara Massey and Megan Massey, great nieces and nephews Mike & Matt Blackburn, Abby & Emelia Minniear, Hannah Horner, Presten Pierson, Makaylyn “Kaay Kaay” Alexander, and Myles Massey, special friends Rhonda & Jean Chapman, Brian McNabb and wife Connie, and Doug McNabb and wife Theresa, Holly Eggert, Darrell Haney and Skip Brooks, as well as numerous other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2024, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Rev. Dr. Joel Getts officiating. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the funeral home.

If so desired memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton in memory of Mr. Greg E. Blackburn. In honor of Greg please wear your favorite band or concert shirt.
