Glen Strange, age 91 of Lathem, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at the Adams County Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 24, 1932, in Irvine, Kentucky, the son of the late Mary (Shorts) Early and John Strange.
Mr. Strange was a member of the Teamsters Union # 957 for 30 years and for 10 years he served as the President of the Teamsters Union. Glen was a Truck Driver for Commercial Motor Freight with 19 years of service. He was lifelong member of the East Dayton Club, an avid fisherman, and he loved drink beer and play pool.
Preceded in death by his wife JoeAnn Strange, 2 sons Michael Strange and David Muse, 3 brothers Willard, Bill and Raymond Strange, his 3 sisters Hazel Frazier and Christine Stevens, and by his son-in-law Harold Pinkerton.
He is survived by his loving family: 4 sons Patrick Strange, Ronnie Muse and wife Ginger, Dan Gunder and wife Edna, Bill Muse and wife Robin, his daughter Sandra Pinkerton, his 2 daughters-in-law Shirley Strange & Sharon Muse, his brother Rick Doran and wife Rita, his sister Lois Bullion and husband Monk, 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 18, 2023, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Rev. Dr. Joel Getts officiating. Burial will follow at the Valley View Memorial Gardens in Xenia. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (2 hours) prior to service on Friday at the funeral home.
