Geraldine “Gerry” Leet, age 77 of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Legacy Health Miamisburg. She was born on December 16, 1945, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Homer & Marlene (Pierce) Sweeney.

Gerry was a retired employee of General Motors with 33 years of service. She was a member and volunteered for the Special Wish Foundation and received several awards for her service.

Preceded in death by her loving companion of 35 years Johnny D. Duff on Nov. 5, 2020, her sister Judy Sweeney, and by her brothers Tommy Sweeney and Charles “Chuck” Sweeney.

She is survived by her daughter Rhonda Gilliam, her special cousin Cheryl Roberts and family, her sister-in-law Carol Sweeney, 2 nephews Tommy Sweeney, and Charles “Chuckie” Sweeney and wife Heather, her niece Deana Jordon and husband Kevin, 2 great nephews (grandsons) Lil’ Chuckie Sweeney & Justin Jordon, great niece (granddaughter) Kaitlyn Jordon, 1 great great nephew (great great grandson) Rylan Jordon, and 1 great great niece (great great granddaughter) Zayda Sage, as well as numerous other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Rev. Dr. Terrell Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
