Galen L. "Gale" Smith

Galen L. “Gale” Smith, age 60 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Ft. Hamilton Hospital. He was born on May 12, 1961 in Dayton, Ohio.

Galen was a 1980 graduate of West Carrollton High. He was an in-house printer for Sinclair Community College with 31 ½ years of service. Gale was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in West Carrollton, and a former member of the W. Carrollton Masonic Lodge #737 F & AM.

Preceded in death by his father Leonard Smith, his brother Gregory Smith and by his brother-in-law Jeff Brown.

He is survived by his loving mother Nancy (Aufuldish) Smith, his sister Adriane L. Brown , his nephew Daniel E. Brown (Cheryl Webb), his uncle Gerald W. Aufuldish (Judy), 2 cousins Melissa Mitchell and husband Galen, and Jerry Aufuldish and wife L.J., as well as other relatives and many friends.

Private Funeral services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Phil Hohulin officiating. Burial Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to SICSA or to Grace Lutheran Church in Galen’s memory.
