Evelyn Diane Baker, age 89 of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 2, 2024, at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 1, 1935, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Earl & Evelyn (Allen) Ward. Diane graduated from West Carrollton High School, and she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years Edward L. “Ed” “Skip” Baker, Jr., on May 14, 2020, her daughter Susan (Baker) Ward on November 30, 2022, her brother Ronald Ward, 5 sisters Enola Downing, Arline Kelly, Sharon Moore, Rhea Smith and Linda Ward, her brothers-in-law Michael Baker and by her 4 sisters-in-law Patricia Ward, Dolly Hicks, Lois Baker and Joyce Ward.

She is survived by her 3 children Bud Baker and wife Kim, Tim Baker and wife Perditta, her daughter Sandy Clark, 2 brothers Darrell Ward & Dennis Ward and wife MaryBeth, her sister Mary Lou Daniel, 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great grandson on the way, 14 great great grandchildren, fur babies “Archie” and “Biscuit” as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (2 hours prior to service) on Monday at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton.
