Edmon Fowler, age 88 of Dayton, formerly of Lewisburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the Brookdale Senior Living Center in Englewood.
He was born on June 7, 1932 in Harlan County, KY, the son of the late Loyd & Charity (Hensley) Fowler.
Mr. Fowler honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired Chemical Plant Operator for Syngenta Chemical Co., and former employee of the West Carrollton Paper Mill & Kimberly Clark.
Preceded in death by his wife Virginia “Ginger” (Lowman) Fowler, 3 brothers Clarence, Beckham & William and by 3 sisters Mary, Dorothy & Elizabeth.
He is survived by 7 children Cathy Justice and husband Steven, Wayne Fowler and wife Pauletta, Crystal James, Doug Campbell, Curtis Fowler, Leonard Fowler, and Janice Fowler, his brother Isiah “Ike” Fowler, several grandchildren including Rebecca Ball, Travis Fowler, Jonathan Fowler, Matthew James, Amanda “Amie” James, Whitney James, Drew James, Sierra Roe, Justin Campbell, Tyler Campbell, and Natalie Campbell , 2 special friends Bryan Ball & Jean Chapman, as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Military Honors from the Combined Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (2 hours prior to service) on Saturday at the funeral home.
