Doris L. Sheppard, age 77 of Moraine, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 8, 1944 in Panama City, Florida, the daughter of the late Julian & Lorene (Morris) Lanier.

Mrs. Sheppard was a former employee of the Wellington at Dayton.

Preceded in death by her husband Albert “Bud” Sheppard, her daughter Sherry L. (Quillen) Bachmann, her brother James Lanier, and by 2 sisters Carolyn Smith and Julia Ann Lanier.

She is survived by her daughter Marsha Webner and husband Jack, 2 sons Chris Quillen & Brian Harris and wife Missy, 10 grandchildren Erika (Tommy Ward) Blackburn, Brooke Blackburn, Lauren Patterson and husband Andrew, Connor Webner, Hannah Webner, Hunter Bachmann, Reise Quillen, Mason Harris, Bryce Harris & Trase Quillen, 5 great grandchildren Aubrielle Blackburn, Andrew Gentry, Jaxon Ward, Emma & Lily Patterson, 2 special friends Shirley Dawson & Carol Cornett, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Solomon Gomez, Southbrook Christian Church officiating. Burial Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (2 hours prior to service) on Tuesday at the funeral home
