Donald R. Peffly, age 83 of Moraine, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton. He was born on July 6, 1940, in Miamisburg, the son of the late Clifford & Ethel (Franklin) Peffly.

Mr. Peffly honorably served his country from 1958 to 1978 in the U.S. Army retiring after 20 years of service. He participated in Little League, Boy Scouts, and was a member of the high school “Custom Kings” car club. After his retirement he lived in Hudson, FL.

He is survived by his son Donald Lee Peffly, his daughter Linda Sue Trotter, 2 sisters Patricia Barnes and husband Gary, and Linda Weller and husband Charles, 5 grandchildren Julia, Adam, Dallin, Justin & Sarah, 3 great granddaughters Emma, and twins Winter & Summer, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

A private graveside service will be held at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Military Honors will be conducted by the Combined Honor Guard. Arrangements entrusted to the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton.
