Darrel Joe Thomas

Darrel Joe Thomas, age 78 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 6, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 29, 1945, in Park County, Indiana, the son of the late Lawrence and Anna (Alkire) Thomas.

Mr. Thomas honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a former employee of Karrollton Envelope with 20 years of service. Darrel was also a warehouse manager for Roberds, and he was a truck driver for R & L Trucking with 15 years of service. Darrel enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time with his family.

Preceded in death by his grandson Nathan Joe Thomas, his 3 brothers Dan, David, and Dick Thomas and by his sister Caroline Strong.  

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Joann (Manning) Thomas, his 2 sons Glen A. Thomas and wife Robin M., and Steven J. Thomas and wife Kimberly, 3 sisters Virginia Gorrell, Sarah Sears, and Denise Mitchell, 4 grandchildren Alek J. Thomas and wife Lauren, Ethan J. Thomas, Lexi R. Thomas, and Samantha J. Thomas, his great granddaughter Everly Grace Thomas, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
