Clebert H. “Clem” Ashley, age 87 of Farmersville, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 09, 2023, at the Dayton V.A. Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 13, 1936, in Liverpool, West Virginia, the son of the late Kenneth & Myrtle Ashley.
Mr. Ashley honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a self-employed construction contractor for many years and was a former employee of White Allen with 13 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 762 in New Lebanon. Clem enjoyed fishing with his wife and family; he loved going to auctions and hunting occasionally.
Preceded in death by his brother-in-law Dean Neff.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Sandra K. (Spillman) Ashley, 2 sons Clebert Ashley & Channing Ashley and wife Betty, 3 brothers Kenneth Ashley, Jr., and wife Mary, Roger Ashley and wife Susie, Steve Ashley and wife Brenda, 3 sisters Janet Neff, Mary Sue Mullett, Augusta Winland, 6 grandchildren Travis Ashley and wife Leslie, Crystal Ashley, Sarah Ashley, Kaylin Ashley, Alex Ashley, and Sophia Ashley, great grandson Kayden Ashley, fur baby “Bullet” as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Rev. Dr. Joel Getts officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens with Military Honors conducted by the Combined Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (2 hours prior to service) on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306 in memory of Mr. Clebert H. “Clem” Ashley.
