Catherine Elaine "Cathy" Shifflett

Catherine Elaine “Cathy” Shifflett, age 58 of Moraine, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 7, 1964, in Dayton, Ohio.

Catherine was a home health aide for Ultimate Solutions Homecare. She was also employed throughout the years by Days Inn, and other hotels as Supervisor for housekeeping, she also worked in the bakery at Woody’s. She loved to travel, arts, crafts, light houses, trains, and had a special love for her horses.

Preceded in death by her mother Linda Underwood, her brother Richard Underwood, Jr., and by her fur baby “Dixie”.

She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years Michael Shifflett, her daughter Beth Anne Underwood, her son Michael “Mikey” Shifflett (Felecia Gustin), her father Richard Underwood, her brother Steven Underwood, 2 sisters Cindy Foldgers and Diana Cremeens and husband Jim, 2 grandchildren Tyler Ryon & Cassie Underwood, brother-in-law Jeff Shifflett and wife Maria, sister-in-law Diana Casson-Harkins, her fur baby “Eli”, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Chaplain Rhonda Alderman officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (2 hours prior to service) on Sunday at the funeral home.
