Carol A. Vella, age 73 of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Ohio’s Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 1, 1949, in Dayton, Ohio.

Carol was a former employee of Source Link and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to read, travel and go shopping with her sister (best friend) Carla.

Preceded in death by her husband Joseph Vella, her grandmother who raised her Annabelle Hatcher, and by her father Luther Hatcher.

She is survived by her loving children Steve Doss and wife Michele, Joey Vella and wife Christina, Kimberly Vella (Steve), and Tracy Thompson and husband Dickey, her sister Carla Keehn and husband Richard, her brother Luther Hatcher, Jr., half-sister Tara Hatcher,  and half-brother Kevin Hatcher, 13 grandchildren Chloe, Logan, Brittany (Alex), Hailey, Kyle, Kayla (Ashtin), Tristen, Jayden, Makenly, Paityn, Caleb, Joseph, V “Joey”, and Giovanni on the way, 2 great grandchildren Parker & Madilynn, 2 special nieces Nicole & Heather, 2 great nieces Taylor & Alexis, and great nephew Dylan, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2023, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Pastor James Sercu officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (1 hour prior to service) on Monday at the funeral home.
