Arnold T. "Tim" Chapman

Arnold T. “Tim” Chapman, age 81 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 8, 2022, at Miami Valley Hospital – Main Campus, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 10, 1941, in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of the late Arnold B. & Nellie Margaret (Unger) Chapman.

Mr. Chapman honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a retired Sanitation Engineer for Montgomery County with over 15 years of service; and a former maintenance employee for the Cox Plaza and was employed in the Designing Dept. at Mead Corp. for 12 years. Tim was a member of the VFW Post #3438, West Carrollton and the American Legion Post #165, Miamisburg.

Preceded in death by his sister Anna Arlene Chapman, his 2 nephews Joseph “Joe” Shepherd and Peter Chapman.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Gloria J. “Jean” (Counts) Chapman, his daughter Rhonda Chapman, his brother Bobby Chapman and wife Robin, his grandson Graham Gamble, sister-in-law Barbara Shepherd-Smith, brother-in-law Robert “Bob” Counts (Cherry Babb), special friends Nancy & Troy Cooper, fur baby Benson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Rev. David Schooler officiating. Burial Evergreen Cemetery with Full Military Honors conducted by the Combined Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at the funeral home.
