McGuffie, William J., age 79 of West Milton, formerly of Arcanum, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017. He was born September 10, 1937 in Birmingham, AL, the son of the late Clarence & Mary (Florence) McGuffie. Preceded in death by his wife Carol S. McGuffie, 2 sisters Mary Helen McGuffie & Shirley Ann Brown, and a son-in-law Rob Birt. He is survived by 3 sons William J. "Joe" McGuffie, Jr., (Kelly) of Laura, John P. McGuffie (Celena) of Troy, Phillip E. McGuffie (Allison) of Pleasant Hill, 3 daughters Robyn D. Jankowski (Michael) of MD, Billi S. Birt of Arcanum, Autumn J. Buckner (Dale) of West Milton, his brother Clarence E. "Bucky" McGuffie, Jr., (Irene) of KY, his sister Nelda Thomas (Jerry) of AL, 16 grandchildren Lance, Sydney, Bethanie, Madison, Mitchell, Casey, Landon, McKenzie, Jaxon, Jorden, William, III, Lainey, Leon, Kinlee, Phillip, II, & Joey, 3 great grandchildren Rayne, Chloe & Benjamin, and a host of other family members and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the SWART & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton with Chaplain Mollie Magee officiating. Burial Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
