William Eric "Opie" Stewart age 61 of West Carrollton, passed from this world peacefully to Heaven on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 7, 1963, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

He was a graduate of Catholic Central High School in Springfield and worked for Bell Vault & Monuments for 30 plus years in Miamisburg. Opie was a member of the Teamsters Local #957, Dayton.

Preceded in death by his parents Barbara (Hardy) & John Stewart, brothers Neal Hardy & John Stewart, his adoptive father Minor Moore and father in spirit Ray Shouvlin.

He is survived by his wife Nancy (Walters) Stewart, his 2 sisters Sherry (Carl) Hardy-Wetterberg of NE, Sheila Stewart of NM, his brother David Stewart of NM, his children Robert Walters, Karen (Scott) Seibert, Charles "Pete" (Trish) Smith, numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, including nephew Christopher Stewart, and special friend and brother Clinton Callicoat, mother in spirit Teresa Seyfried.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the Swart Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses.
