Willie Daugherty, age 82 of Moraine, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 11, 2014. He was born October 26, 1931 in Livingston, Kentucky, the son of the late Joe and Dell Daugherty. He was a member of the Dryden Road Pentecostal Church. Preceded in death by his son Bobbie Joe Daugherty, and by his brother Tillman Daugherty. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Zelma (Morris) Daugherty, 4 children Cassie Daugherty Miller of Moraine, Larry (Barbara) Daugherty of Millry, Alabama, Tony (Kathy) Daugherty of Franklin, and Tammy (Dale) Shannon, 4 brothers Roy Daugherty, Mitch Daugherty, Eddie Daugherty and Burgess Daugherty, his sister Mae Daugherty Allen, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He will be remembered by his family as a loving and humorous husband, father, brother and grandfather. He will also be remembered for his faithfulness to God and as a true prayer warrior. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. from the Dryden Road Pentecostal Church, 3201 Dryden Rd., Moraine, Ohio with Rev. Bennie Sutherland officiating. Burial Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the Dryden Road Pentecostal Church.
