William A. "Bill" Coleman, age 81 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Vienna Springs Heath Campus, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 21, 1942, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Clarence & Henrietta (Caldwell) Coleman.

Mr. Coleman honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy. Bill was the owner and operator of ABC Heating & Cooling for over 40 years. He and his wife Sheila also owned and operated the Ice Cream Corner in West Carrollton for several years. He was an active member of the West Carrollton Masonic Lodge #737 F & AM, and the Jacoby Eby Chapter #571, West Carrollton with 50 years of service. Bill was also the Past Patron on the O.E.S. several times over the years.

Preceded in death by his granddaughter Kristin Elaynne Hall, infant brother Ronald Coleman, brother Kenneth Coleman, 2 sisters June Leggett and Wanda Wall.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Sheila (McDowell) Coleman, his son Brian Coleman and wife Michelle, his daughter Melissa Hall and husband Chris, his brother-in-law Richard Leggett, 3 grandchildren Josh Hall and wife Emily, Alex Coleman, and Calvin Burch and wife Carla, his great granddaughter Ava Burch, and a great granddaughter on the way Hadley Kristin Hall due in April, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

A Celebration of Life and Eastern Star Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Pastor Mike Tuttle officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Combined Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (1 hour prior to service) on Thursday at the funeral home.
