Poole, Wendell E., age 73 of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014. He was born March 4, 1941 Ross County, Ohio, the son of the late Elias H. & Lena I. (Newell) Poole. Mr. Poole was retired from the City of Tampa Florida Water Department. Preceded in death by a brother Charlie Poole, and 2 sisters Alice Marie Musselman and Joyce Ann Hayslip. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Juleta R. (Tompkins) Poole, 5 brothers Richard Lee Poole and wife Elizabeth of West Chester, Donald Allen Poole and wife Brenda of TX, Bernard L. Poole and wife Loretta of Morrow, James Poole of Blanchester, Dale Poole and wife Terry of Lebanon, 4 sisters Myrtle Louise Smeal of Kill Buck, Ohio, Geraldine Lamb and husband John of Germantown, Barbara Jean Bullock (Philip Cash) of Carlisle, Linda Hotard and husband Kenneth of LA, his brother-in-law Jerry L. Tompkins of West Carrollton, his sister-in-law Rachel Steck of West Carrollton, very special family friend Willa Cox of Franklin, as well as a host of other family members and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. from the SWART & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton with Pastor Henry Neace officiating. Burial Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
