Warren Eugene Carter, age 84 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at Miami Valley Hospital – Main Campus. He was born on November 2, 1937, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Berlin M. Carter & Elsie (Creager) Malesko.
Mr. Carter honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a former employee of Dayton Press with over 20 years of service, and a retired Bus Operator for RTA with over 25 years of service. Warren was a member of the American Legion Post # 598 in Kettering.
Preceded in death by his brother John Carter.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Marjorie (Steinway) Carter, 6 sons Gregory Carter and wife Lee, Roderick Carter and wife Julie, Kendrick Carter and wife Angie, Bradford Carter, Richard Carter and wife Jordan, and Amadeus Carter, his brother Frank Carter and wife Carol, his sister Nadine Strother and husband Roger, 7 grandchildren Haley Paddock and husband Chad, Hannah Mohler and husband Jordan, Colton Carter, Lydia Carter, Jake Carter and wife Grace, Clay Carter and wife Abby, and Summer Breeze Carter, 6 great grandchildren Rylee, Cailin, Cameron and Khloe Paddock & Samantha and Sydney Mohler, "grand fur babies" Brutus & Goalie, the mother of his 4 older sons Roma (Howell) Carter, friends Anthony Conners, Ricky Griffin and Kurt Harris, as well as numerous other family members and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2022, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Rev. Dr. Joel Getts officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Dayton National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (1 hour prior to service) at the funeral home on Friday.
