Viola Ann Polavics, age 88 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at The Sanctuary at Wilmington Place, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on October 1, 1935, in Great Bend, Kansas, the daughter of the late Joseph & Catherine (Miller) Leinmiller.
Viola was a graduate of Great Bend High School and the Adela Hale School of Business. She was a former employee of Third National Bank in Trust in Kansas. Mrs. Polavics was an active member of St. Henry Catholic Church and was on the bereavement committee where she assisted in setting up luncheons. She was a Eucharist Minister and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Preceded in death by her husband John C. Polavics on June 25, 1971, and by her brother Bernard Leinmiller.
She is survived by her loving son John J. Polavics, her granddaughter Micah Moore and husband Dwayne, her 2 great grandsons Anthony French and Aaron Moore, her special friends Steve Brandell and Bill Brunner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at the St. Henry Catholic Church, 6696 Springboro Pike, Dayton, OH. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Swart Funeral Home, 207 E. Central Ave.,West Carrollton.
If so desired memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul, C/O St. Henry Catholic Church, 6696 Springboro Pike, Dayton, OH 45449 or to the Dayton Right to Life, 425 N. Findley St., Dayton, OH 45405 in memory Mrs. Viola A. Polavics.
