O'Brien, Thomas John, age 87 of West Carrollton, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 26, 1930 in Hartford, Connecticut, the son of the late Thomas E. & Sylvia (Brayson) O'Brien. Mr. O'Brien honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy; he was a retired Computer Systems Analyst for the Dept. of Defense with over 34 years of service and a member of the American Legion Post #165, Miamisburg. Preceded in death by his brother Steve O'Brien, and by a sister Lorraine Karnicki. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Susan (Parsons) O'Brien, 4 sons Thomas Michael O'Brien, Daniel Edward O'Brien, Mark Patrick O'Brien and wife Terri, Christopher Sean O'Brien and wife Mallory, 2 daughters Belinda Jean O'Brien and Erin Kathleen O'Brien, his sister Judy Fagan, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren on the way, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the SWART & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, West Carrollton with Military Honors at 3:00 p.m.
