Thomas L. "Tom" Dill, age 88 of West Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Kettering Health Network – Miamisburg surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 6, 1937, the son of the late Jessie E. & Esther (Taylor) Dill.
Tom was a retired employee of Schriber Sheet Metal Co., with over 30 years of service. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union #224. Tom was a Master Model Car maker, he had won several awards for his model cars, and his model cars were featured in magazines and car museums. He was an avid NASCAR enthusiast and a member of DARF (Dayton Auto Racing Fans); he loved to travel with family and friends. Tom and his wife Wanda would collect toys over the years to donate to children at the holiday's.
Preceded in death by his brother James W. Dill, his sister Margaret "Peg" Hendricks, and his sister in-law Miriam Dill.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Wanda S. (Freels) Dill, his daughter Denise L. Cummins and husband Don, his sister Barbara Hoffman, 3 grandchildren Tracey Williams and husband Rob, Timothy Cummins, and Cara Jones and husband Corey, 3 great grandchildren Thomas "Tommy" Mackie, Aubrey Jones, and Ashton Jones, his nephew Ronnie Hoffman, his dear friend Randy Wakefield, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Rev. Dr. Joel Getts officiating. Burial Evergreen Cemetery in West Carrollton. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (2 hours prior to service) at the funeral home on Wednesday.
If so desired memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital (Dayton), 1 Children's Plaza, SW, Dayton, Ohio 45404 in memory of Mr. Thomas L. "Tom" Dill.
