Schneider, Thelma O., age 93 of Dayton, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016. She was born January 12, 1923 in Cleveland, the daughter of the late William & Thelma (Clark) McCoy. Thelma was retired from Ohio Bell, a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, VFW Post #3438, American Legion Post #165, Kettering AMVETS, and honorably served her country in the U.S. Army. Preceded in death by her husband Eugene F. Schneider, a sister Esther, and granddaughter Marla Schneider. She is survived by 2 sons Joseph Schneider (Lois) of Beavercreek, Daryl Schneider (Samantha) of TX, her brother David Harnish of CA, 2 sisters Ruth Jenkins (Ted) of TN, Ivy Rice (Jim) of SC, 6 grandchildren Sara, Jonah, Samuel, Caleb, Daryl II, and Eugene, 5 great grandchildren Aili, Elise, Adelyn, Olivia & Nolan, and a host of other family and many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Henry Catholic Church, 6696 Springboro Pike, Dayton, Ohio. Burial Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the Mass. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in her memory.
