Ted R. Melton, age 71 of Miamisburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Sycamore Glen Health Center. He was born on December 27, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio the son of the late Robert "Bob" & Virginia (Trent) Melton.

Mr. Melton graduated from Trotwood Madison High School Class of 1966 and was an Engineer for over 40 years working for Aerotek, Motoman, Gem City Engineering and Becton Dickinson Polymer Research. Ted was a slot car racing enthusiast, enjoyed Formula 1 auto racing, and was a great reader of science fiction.

Preceded in death by his nephew Graham Hayden.

He is survived by his 3 loving sons Kyle Melton and wife Emily Farmer, Brian Melton, Joel Melton and wife Jessie Juergens, 2 sisters Sandra Lane & Kimberly Melton, 2 grandchildren Jayden Melton & Charlie Melton, niece Shannon Hayden and husband Jason Katzman, as well as numerous other relatives and many friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place at a later time.  Arrangements entrusted to the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton.
