Steven H. Doss, age 75 of Cannelton, IN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at the Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, IN., surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 1, 1947, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late William & Josephine (Van Winkle) Doss.

Mr. Doss honorably served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a retired Environmental Specialist at Kettering Medical Center – Main Campus, and a former employee of Dayton Superior in Miamisburg with over 25 years of service. Steven was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Preceded in death by his infant daughter Charity Doss in 1975, his infant brother Wayne Doss and by his brother Dale Doss.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 ½ years Judy (Martin) Doss, 2 sons Steve Doss and wife Michele & Michael Doss and wife Cosetta, his 2 sisters Karen Doss & Melody Hinton and husband Tim, his sister-in-law Sonja Doss, his 3 grandchildren Madeline Doss, Chloe Doss and Connor Michael Doss, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton with Pastor Kamil Metz officiating. Burial Woodhill Cemetery in Franklin with Military Honors conducted by the Combined Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (2 hours prior to service) on Tuesday at the funeral home.
