Shirley L. Ruark, age 86 of West Carrollton, went to her Heavenly home on Friday, September 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 5, 1938, Keokee, VA, the daughter of the late Eppie A. (Flannery) Clark-Jennings and William McKinley Clark.

Shirley was a faithful member of the Moraine Heights Baptist Church for over 30 years, and a former member of Faith Baptist Church for 25 years. Shirley loved the Lord, her family, singing, playing piano, crocheting, and meeting people. She has never met a stranger.

Preceded in death by her son Paul Gregory Russell, 3 sisters Vivian Perkins, Velma Warwick and Trula Marlow, and by her 2 brothers Talmadge Clark, and Lewis D. Clark.

She is survived by her loving family; her 2 daughters Michelle (John) Brun and  Lisa Harville, her son Brian N. Russell,  8 grandchildren Courtney Burge, Michael G. (Amy) Russell,  Britney (Kenny) Garber , Morgan (Jonathan) Zimmerman,  Brooklyn (Jake) Nickoson , Boston Russell, David Brun and Megan Harrison, her 7 great grandchildren Jonnah, Willow, Palmer, Cole, Brooklyn , Judah and Ava  as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family, and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Moraine Heights Baptist Church, 5661 Munger Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459 with Pastor Patrick Dell'Aria and Pastor Jerry Siler officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the church and from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (1 hour prior to service) at the church on Saturday.  Arrangements entrusted to the Swart Funeral Home, West Carrollton.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Moraine Heights Baptist Church, (Mission Fund) 5661 Munger Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459 in honor of Ms. Shirley L. Ruark.
